A teenage lady was attacked with a pointy weapon by two motorcycle-borne thieves who tried to grab her cell phone however she managed to tug down certainly one of them off the bike, CCTV footage from Punjab exhibits.
Kusum Kumari, 15, was returning dwelling from tuition when the incident occurred close to Jalandhar-Kapurthala street on Monday.
“The person using pillion grabbed my hand and took my cellphone. I resisted and held his hand after which I adopted them on their bike and grabbed the pillion rider’s t-shirt. He later hit me and attacked my wrist with a pointy object,”
The lady, now injured, didn’t again down. She ran after the bike and dragged the pillion rider, who snatched her cell phone, off it.
Passersby helped the teenager someday later and acquired maintain of the accused and handed him over to the police. Ms Kumari acquired again her cellphone quickly after. The teenager has been admitted to a hospital.
Station Home Officer Jatinder Sharma mentioned that the accused has been recognized as Avinash Kumar, 22, and has been arrested. His confederate, who was using the bike, is on the run and a case underneath Sections 389 B and 307 (try and homicide) of IPC has been registered towards them.
