A 16-year-old boy has been detained from Ambarnath in Maharashtra’s Thane district for allegedly stabbing his good friend to demise following an argument, police mentioned on Sunday.
The incident occurred on Friday evening and the boy was detained on Saturday, they mentioned.
The sufferer was recognized as Aman Shaikh (18), senior inspector Manjit Bagga mentioned.
“Following a heated argument with Shaikh over some situation, the accused stabbed him with a knife and fled from the scene. Their different associates rushed the sufferer to a close-by hospital, the place he was declared introduced useless,” he mentioned.
The accused was detaind hours later and a case was registered towards him beneath related part of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Ambernath police station. An area court docket despatched him to a remand residence, the official mentioned.
