New Delhi:

Over 2.9 lakh individuals residing in unauthorised colonies in Delhi have registered themselves below the PM-UDAY scheme for getting possession rights of their properties.

Union Housing and City Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri stated on Tuesday that 1,109 conveyance deeds and authorisation slips have been handed over below the Pradhan Mantri-Unauthorised Colonies in Delhi Awas Adhikar Yojana.

“PM-UDAY Scheme to learn 50 lakh residents of 1731 unauthorised colonies of Delhi efficiently continues forward. 1109 Conveyance Deeds & Authorization Slips have been handed over. 2,90,313 individuals have already registered. Request others to register quickly. The mission continues…,” Mr Puri tweeted.

Based on the ministry, 2,773 discipline surveys have up to now been performed by businesses in unauthorised colonies within the nationwide capital.

In October final yr, the Union Cupboard had authorized a proposal to grant possession rights to individuals residing in unauthorised colonies within the nationwide capital. Later, Parliament had handed a invoice to grant possession rights to the residents.
