Two individuals have been killed and 14 wounded early Saturday in a taking pictures at a yard celebration in Rochester, New York state, police mentioned.
Officers responding to stories of gunfire within the space discovered a “chaotic scene” with about 100 individuals working in varied instructions, interim police chief Mark Simmons advised reporters.
“In whole we’ve 16 confirmed victims of taking pictures. And I am unhappy to announce that two of the 16 obtained a deadly wound,” he mentioned.
These killed — one man, one lady — have been each between 18 and 22 years of age, and had not been formally recognized, he mentioned.
The 14 wounded had been taken to hospital and weren’t in a life-threatening situation, he mentioned.
No arrests have been made thus far and police couldn’t say if multiple shooter was concerned.
“For our group to need to cope with this tragedy … is unlucky and shameful,” Simmons mentioned.
