Bhopal:

Two engineers of the Bhopal division of West Central Railway have been positioned below suspension for allegedly gang-raping a girl in a room within the railway station, an official stated on Sunday.

Junior Engineer (Carriage Wagon) Rajesh Tiwari and Senior Part Engineer (Electrical) Alok Malviya are accused of raping a 22-year-old lady from Uttar Pradesh on Saturday after Rajesh Tiwari befriended her on Fb and invited her to Bhopal with the promise of getting her a job, stated Bhopal Superintendent of Police (Railway) Hitesh Choudhary.

“When the lady arrived on Saturday morning, major accused Rajesh Tiwari (in his 40s) put her up in a room on the railway station, after which he and Malviya, 54, gave her a drink laced with a sedative after which raped her. She filed a criticism after she regained consciousness,” Hitesh Choudhary stated.

A departmental inquiry has been instituted by the Bhopal divisional railway supervisor (DRM) towards the 2 and so they have been suspended, a WCR launch knowledgeable.
