Not less than 23 civilians had been killed in Afghanistan’s southern Helmand province and dozens had been injured when rockets fell on a cattle market on Monday, stated Afghan authorities and Taliban officers.
The warring sides blamed one another for the assault on the open-air weekly cattle market in Sangin district the place tons of of villagers from neighbouring districts had gathered to commerce sheep and goats.
A spokesman for Helmand’s governor stated the a number of rockets fired by Taliban insurgents landed near the cattle market, killing 23 civilians, together with youngsters.
