Mumbai:

A minor hearth broke out at a personal hospital in suburban Mumbai’s Mulund on Monday night, prompting authorities to shift 40 sufferers to close by hospitals, officers stated.

The hearth broke out in a generator set at Apex Hospital in Mulund (West) between 5 pm and 6 pm on account of overheating, they stated.

Nobody was injured within the hearth, stated a civic official, including the hearth brigade shifted 40 sufferers to 5 close by hospitals.

The hearth brigade had tagged it as a “stage zero” hearth and flames have been put out by round 6.15 pm, a civic official.

The official stated the sufferers have been shifted to different hospitals since Apex Hospital had suffered energy failure.

Metropolis hospitals have been pressured to depend on generator units for a number of hours due to an enormous citywide energy failure at 10:05 am on Monday.
