The Central Crime Department police raided 5 pubs within the metropolis as a part of its crackdown in opposition to the drug menace.

The searches have been carried out on Saturday evening, they stated.

“Within the drug case investigation, we discovered that generic medicine are taken in some pubs. So, search warrants have been taken and 5 pubs searched yesterday evening,” Bengaluru Joint Commissioner of Police Sandeep Patil stated in a short assertion on Sunday.
