Six individuals have been killed and 5 others injured in a collision between two UP state roadways buses on the outskirts of the state capital on Wednesday morning, prompting the state authorities to order a probe into the accident.

The collision passed off at about 6.45 am when an Uttar Pradesh State Transport Company bus collided with one other whereas attempting to overhaul it on the Lucknow-Hardoi highway underneath Kakori police station space, about 22 km, a senior official stated.

Transport Minister Ashok Kataria has ordered a probe into the incident.

“5 individuals onboard bus and a lady on a two-wheeler have been killed whereas 5 others have been injured within the mishap,” a UPSRTC assertion stated.

These killed are Sarvdhar (40), Fortunate Saxena (16), Rajendra Saxena (48), Hariom (40), Nitesh Bharti (20) and one unidentified lady (about 35 years).

Kakori ACP S M Kasim Abdi had earlier stated that six individuals have been killed and eight injured within the mishap.

In line with KGMU officers, the situation of 5 injured was acknowledged to be secure, whereas the opposite six have been introduced useless to the Trauma centre.

On directives of the Transport Minister, UPSRTC managing director has ordered a probe into the incident by a three-member committee and sought its submit report inside 24 hours, the UPSRTC assertion stated.
Transport Minister Kataria introduced an ex gratia of Rs 5 lakh to the households of these killed within the accident and Rs 2.5 lakh to these injured for therapy, it added.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has condoled the deaths and directed officers to make sure the very best therapy to the injured.
