The accused, within the incident by which three minor women suffered burn accidents after being allegedly attacked with acid on Monday night time whereas they have been asleep of their home in UP’s Gonda district, has been arrested, police stated on Tuesday.
The accused was arrested following an encounter with police personnel within the state’s Huzurpur space late Tuesday night. He sustained accidents throughout the encounter and has been hospitalised.
Chatting with reporters, Extra Superintendent of Police (ASP) Mahendra Kumar stated, “A case was registered on the Paraspur police station after an acid-like chemical was thrown on three minor women. Within the police investigation, it was discovered that an individual Ashish aka Chotu is an accused.”
“Police launched a seek for the accused and late night, a police workforce noticed him arriving on a bike. His bike slipped when he noticed the police jeep and he opened hearth at police, and police personnel retaliated in self-defence throughout which the accused received injured. He has been arrested and despatched to a hospital for therapy,” the ASP stated.
The bike of the accused has been seized and a pistol and cartridges have been recovered from his possession, the police official stated including additional investigation is underway.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed the Gonda superintendent of police to take strict motion towards the offender and supply the women with instant monetary help and guarantee correct therapy, an official assertion stated.
“Three minor sisters have been attacked with a chemical whereas sleeping on the primary ground of their home. Docs are investigating what chemical was used. The ladies are secure. One has 30 per cent burn accidents, whereas the opposite two have 20 per cent and seven per cent burn accidents,” Shailesh Kumar Pandey, Superintendent of Police, Gonda informed reporters.
The siblings aged 17, 12 and 7 years have been admitted to the district hospital the place they’re present process therapy.
