President Ram Nath Kovind inaugurated a portrait of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his second demise anniversary on Sunday on the Indian Council for Cultural Relations and described him as a “broadly accepted” chief.

Talking on the digital inauguration, Ram Nath  Kovind underlined that India’s stature grew underneath the management of Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

He was a powerful advocate of peace and at all times labored for higher relations with neighbouring nations. He dealt with all troublesome conditions with calmness, the president stated.

Together with his conduct, Atal Bihari Vajpayee taught all political events and other people energetic in public life that the nationwide curiosity is at all times paramount. Due to this fact he was a “broadly accepted” chief who had admirers throughout the political spectrum, Ram Nath Kovind stated.
