West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar on Monday expressed his concern over the “alarming scenario” within the state after a BJP chief was shot lifeless in North 24 Parganas district, and stated Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee ought to be aware of important points that “run down the democratic governance and lawlessness”.
He stated political violence and focused killings needs to be stopped.
Earlier within the day, Mr Dhankhar slammed the state administration after the house secretary and the Director-Genreal of Police (DGP) failed to show up, disregarding his summons over the killing of BJP chief Manish Sukla.
