Nation paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his 151st delivery anniversary

Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh and his Haryana counterpart Manohar Lal Khattar on Friday paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and former prime minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on their delivery anniversaries.
Paying his tributes to Mahatma Gandhi on his 151th delivery anniversary, Amarinder Singh in a tweet mentioned, “He was a fantastic man who united and led the nation to regain its freedom.”

“He (Mahatma Gandhi) famously mentioned in a delicate method, you may shake the world. His path of non-violence is the best way to articulate any dissent,” the Punjab Chief Minister mentioned.

In his tribute to former PM Lal Bahadur Shastri, Amarinder Singh mentioned, “A self-effacing and resolute individual, he led India remarkably to victory within the 1965 struggle towards Pakistan.”

“His well-known slogan of ‘Jai Jawan-Jai Kisan’ nonetheless reverberates within the nation,” he added.

Paying tribute to Mahatma Gandhi, the Haryana chief minister in a tweet mentioned, his beliefs are the “guiding mild”. 

Lal bahadur Shastri epitomised simplicity and gave the slogan of ‘Jai Jawan Jai Kisan, Mr Khattar added.

Mahatma Gandhi was born on today in 1869 at Porbandar in Gujarat. Lal Bahadur Shastri was born in 1904 in Uttar Pradesh.
