New Delhi:

A Guwahati-bound non-public chopper, operated by Skyone Airways, was compelled to make an emergency touchdown in Bhutan on Monday when the pilot observed a technical fault after take-off from Tawang in Arunachal Pradesh.

With the assistance of the Air Site visitors Management (ATC) in Paro, almost 50 km away from capital Thimpu, the chopper, Skyone MI-172, landed close to Bhutan’s Nganglam helipad.

The crew and all passengers onboard are protected, Arunachap Pradesh’s civil aviation secretary stated.
