An assistant professor in Assam’s Dibrugarh College was arrested immediately for allegedly importing pornographic content material on the web, a senior police officer mentioned.
The assistant professor of Arithmetic, in his late 30s, was arrested based mostly on a case filed by the registrar of the college alleging that he had uploaded the video on a pornographic web site, Dibrugarh District Superintendent of Police Sreejith T mentioned.

The digicam used for recording has been seized after a raid in Amolapatty space of Dibrugarh, he mentioned.
The accused claimed that the lady within the video was not a pupil of the college, the officer mentioned, including, “This was cross-checked with professors and different authorities of the institute.”
The assistant professor has been booked below related sections of the Indian Penal Code and the IT Act, he mentioned, including the accused shall be produced in a court docket.
