A 16-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped a number of instances, killed and the physique dumped in a septic tank of a home in West Bengal’s Jalpaiguri district, police stated on Saturday.
Three individuals have been arrested in reference to the incident, and when produced earlier than the courtroom on Friday, they had been remanded to eight days of police custody.
The woman, a resident of Shyanashikata in Rajganj, went lacking on August 10, following which her household lodged a police grievance, officers stated.
Police on Thursday arrested three individuals, and through interrogation, they confessed to have raped and killed the woman on August 15, officers stated, including that the physique was then dumped within the septic tank.
The physique was taken out from the septic tank of a home in Pradhan Para later that evening, police stated.
Native TMC MLA Khageswar Roy has met the woman’s household and demanded loss of life penalty for the accused.
Police stated they’re investigating the matter and but to determine what led to the incident.
