Bollywood actor and BJP MP Sunny Deol on Saturday hoped that the household of former India cricketer Suresh Raina would get justice in a case of brutal assault on them allegedly by robbers final month.

Mr Deol met Pathankot Senior Superintendent of Police Gulneet Singh Khurana and mentioned the legislation and order scenario.

The Gurdaspur MP additionally enquired concerning the assault on the family of Mr Raina in Pathankot.

“A constructive dialogue was held with Pathankot SSP Gulneet Singh Khurana relating to the security of Pathankot district which is below my Lok Sabha constituency.

Based on police, some robbers attacked Mr Raina’s family at their home with an intention of loot at Pathankot’s Tharyal village on the intervening night time of August 19 and 20.

Whereas Mr Raina’s uncle Ashok Kumar, 58, died on the spot, his 32-year-old cousin Kaushal died as a result of accidents on August 31 at a personal hospital Pathankot.

Mr Raina had described the assault on his family as “past horrible” and sought from the Punjab police to look into the incident.

Thereafter, the Punjab police introduced to kind a four-member particular investigation staff to research the incident.

Mr Deol had on Friday visited his constituency and held discussions with senior officers over the coronavirus pandemic scenario and different points.
