Ashok Gasti, 55, is from Raichur in north Karnataka

Ashok Gasti, a BJP Rajya Sabha MP from Karnataka, is affected by COVID-19 and is critically unwell. He’s being handled at a hospital.

Amid stories of his dying, the hospital the place he’s being handled has clarified that he’s critically unwell.

“He’s crucially unwell however all efforts are being made,” Medical Director of Manipal Hospital Dr Sudarshan Ballal mentioned.

The hospital has mentioned the MP was admitted with extreme COVID-19 pneumonia and is vital with multi-organ failure. He’s on life help within the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

The 55-year-old is from Raichur in north Karnataka and was beforehand a booth-level employee.
