The Union Cupboard on Wednesday accredited improvement of Inexpensive Rental Housing Complexes for city migrants and poor as a sub-scheme underneath the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-City, the federal government mentioned.

As a part of the scheme, present vacant government-funded housing complexes might be transformed into Inexpensive Rental Housing Complicated (ARHC).

An expenditure of Rs 600 crore is estimated within the type of “expertise innovation grant”, an official spokesperson mentioned on Twitter after the Cupboard assembly.

He mentioned three lakh beneficiaries might be coated initially. The complexes will revert to city native our bodies (ULBs) after 25 years to restart the subsequent cycle.
