Two individuals had been killed in a 4AM accident that came about underneath the Lajpat Nagar Flyover.

In a horrific accident in south Delhi’s Lajpat Nagar, two individuals had been crushed to demise when a big container truck, carrying tonnes of rice, hit their automotive and fell on it, the police stated.

The accident came about underneath the Lajpat Nagar Flyover round four AM right now. In keeping with the police, the 2 passengers, who labored for an occasion administration firm, had been killed on the spot.

They’ve been recognized as Ankit Malhotra, 35, and Ranjan Kalra, 35. Each had been residents of Delhi and had been going to the airport after they met with the accident.

The truck driver fled from the spot after the accident, the police stated, including that the proprietor of the truck, bearing a Haryana registration quantity, has been recognized.

CCTV cameras put in in and across the spot are being scanned to determine the motive force, a senior police officer stated. A case has been registered and efforts are being made to nab the truck driver, he added.
