The Uttarakhand forest division has filed a case in opposition to Swami Chidananda Saraswati for allegedly grabbing a chunk of reserve forest land in Virpur Khurd space in Rishikesh and working a yoga and meditation centre, and a residential faculty on it.

The case was lodged in opposition to the non secular guru below part 26 of the Indian Forest Act, 1927 in compliance with a current order of the Uttarakhand Excessive Courtroom, Forest Vary Officer Mahendra Singh Rawat instructed information company PTI.

“Swami Chidananda had grabbed round one hectare of reserved forest land in Virpur Khurd space of the city and was working Muni Chidananda yoga centre, meditation centre and a residential faculty on it,” Mr Rawat stated.
