Jammu:

The central authorities has accepted an annual plan price Rs 574.16 crore for nationwide freeway works in Jammu and Kashmir for 2020-21, an official spokesperson stated on Saturday.

The main works included within the accepted annual plan included development of three.23 km three fly-overs in Srinagar on NH-44 (Jammu-Srinagar freeway) at Bemina, Sanatnagar and Nowgam with Rs 220.68 crore, the spokesman stated.

Quoting a communication from the centre, he stated the Union Ministry of Highway Transport and Highways has requested for preparation of estimates for the proposed works within the accepted annual plan, incorporating the technical parameters and designs as per IRC codal provisions or newest circulars of the ministry, and submission to it for consideration.

The opposite works included within the accepted annual plan included expressway, 4 laning, development of 6 km third bypass on NH-444 Shopian bypass with Rs 120 crore, and development of 13.60 km bypasses in Pulwama and Kulgam with Rs 62.98 crore, the spokesperson stated.
