China on Tuesday accused Donald Trump of spreading a “political virus” on the United Nations after the US chief delivered a harsh assault on Beijing over the Covid-19 pandemic.

“When the worldwide group is absolutely combating exhausting towards the Covid-19, the US is spreading a political virus right here within the Basic Meeting,” China’s ambassador to the United Nations, Zhang Jun, advised reporters.
