Chinese language synthetic intelligence firm Shanghai Zhizhen Clever Community Know-how Co, Ltd, also referred to as Xiao-i, has filed a lawsuit towards Apple Inc, alleging it has infringed on its patents.

The corporate is asking for 10 billion yuan ($1.43 billion)in damages and calls for that Apple stop “manufacturing, utilizing, promising to promote, promoting, and importing” merchandise that infringe on the patent, it stated in a social media put up.

Xiao-i argued that Apple’s voice-recognition know-how Siri infringes on a patent that it utilized for in 2004 and was granted in 2009.
