Congress chief Kavitha Reddy and Kannada movie actress Samyuktha Hegde on Monday appeared to have buried their hatchet with the latter accepting the previous’s apology over alleged assault and abuse, over which police have registered a case in opposition to the politician.
A day after Ms Reddy tendered the unconditional apology for her actions in questioning the actress doing hula-hooping workout at a park wearing workout clothes, Ms Hegde stated she accepted it and expressed the hope of shifting away from the incident.
On September four, Ms Reddy had allegedly assaulted Ms Hegde within the park for not carrying “first rate” garments along with her outbursts seen as an act of ethical policing.
The outraged actress had later posted a video of the incident on her Twitter deal with and wrote: “It’s excessive time that society stops harassing ladies for what we put on, the place we go and what we do.”
Based mostly on a grievance from the actress that Ms Reddy had outraged her modesty and assaulted her, a case has been registered in opposition to the Congress chief beneath numerous sections of the Indian Penal Code, the police stated on Monday.
Ms Reddy in her apology on Sunday has stated: “Nobody has the proper to inform a lady what to put on and methods to behave.”

Ms Hegde was cautious in her response.
“Apologies accepted, Ms Kavitha Reddy. I hope we will all transfer ahead from the incident and make ladies really feel secure all over the place,” Ms Hegde tweeted.
The actress, nevertheless, famous that Ms Reddy has not taken down any of her posts concerning the occasion as quoted in her apology even after a number of hours.
