Delhi Congress leaders and employees, together with its president Anil Kumar, had been detained by police on Friday throughout a protest towards the holding of the JEE and NEET exams amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
A number of Congressmen had been detained by the police close to the Shastri Bhawan and brought to the Mandir Marg police station, Mr Kumar mentioned.
“The Centre and its training ministry are endangering the lives of 25 lakh college students by being adamant on holding the JEE and NEET when the variety of coronavirus instances goes up within the nation,” he mentioned.
The Delhi Congress chief mentioned regardless of opposition from many states in addition to from college students and their dad and mom, the Centre will not be reconsidering its determination, which is unlucky.
“We’re solely requesting the Modi authorities and its training ministry to postpone the 2 exams for some days until the COVID-19 state of affairs is below management,” he mentioned.

The exams have been deferred twice within the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
