Skipper Kieron Pollard all-round efficiency and batsman Darren Bravo’s fifty guided Trinbago Knight Riders to ninth straight win within the ongoing Caribbean Premier League (CPL) on Saturday. Knight Riders defeated St Lucia Zouks by 23 runs at Brian Lara Stadium. Zouks gained the toss and requested Knight Riders to bat first. The aspect had a nasty begin because the opening batsman Lendl Simmons (eight) was caught behind the stumps off Scott Kuggeleijn within the third over. Chasing 176 runs, openers Kimani Melius and Mark Deyal had a 25-run temporary partnership for the primary wicket. Melius departed after scoring 12 runs.
Andre Fletcher and Deyal then collected 59-run for the second wicket. Pollard bagged Deyal (40) and supplied the important breakthrough for his aspect.
Mohammad Nabi and Fletcher then added 19-run for the third wicket earlier than the latter was despatched again to the pavilion by Pollard within the 14th over.
