The Delhi authorities has allowed town’s restro-bars, resorts, and golf equipment to promote their inventory of beer expiring by July 15 to liquor outlets in a bid to minimise their monetary losses, an official stated on Sunday.

There are round 950 resorts, golf equipment and restro-bars within the nationwide capital which have an excise license however haven’t been allowed to open since March 25, when the nationwide lockdown was introduced.

Earlier this month, the federal government had allowed the house owners of such institutions to promote to liquor outlets their inventory of beer expiring in June.

“The division has now allowed restro-bars, resorts and golf equipment to promote their inventory of beer expiring by July 15 to liquor outlets within the metropolis,” the official stated.

“Resort, golf equipment and eating places licensee shall put together a listing of all beer inventory, with barcode, which is to be transferred at licensed vend,” the excise division stated in an order.

“The licensee from resorts, golf equipment and eating places shall then submit the barcode record of beer inventory and consent letter obtained from licensed vend to excise division with the request for permitting switch of beer inventory,” it stated.
