A gaggle of civil defence personnel allegedly attacked a police head constable in west Delhi’s Naraina Vihar after an argument over issuing a challan to him for not carrying the masks correctly, officers mentioned on Thursday.

“Our preliminary investigations means that the top constable was carrying a masks however he had lowered it and was stopped by the employees of the SDM. When confronted, a struggle broke out between the employees and the top constable,” a senior police officer mentioned.

Extra Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Sameer Sharma mentioned a case has been registered towards the civil defence personnel on the grievance of the top constable.
