Delhi man arrested for fatally shootinng his mom for scolding him for being drunk (Representational)
New Delhi:
A 26-year-old man allegedly shot and killed his mom in north Delhi’s Bawana space after she scolded him for consuming alcohol, the police mentioned on Friday.
The incident occurred late on Thursday evening, the police mentioned, including that they obtained data 60-year-old girl had been taken to the hospital with a gunshot damage.
“The lady was dropped at the hospital with a bullet damage on her left eye and was declared ‘introduced useless’ by the hospital,” the police mentioned.
“Throughout investigation, it was discovered that the girl’s son Suraj, who works as a driver, shot her in a drunken state after she scolded him for consuming alcohol commonly and coming dwelling late within the evening,” a senior police officer mentioned.
The accused has been arrested and the weapon – a country-made pistol – has been recovered. Additional investigation is being carried out, they added.
