New Delhi:

The Delhi Police on Tuesday detained Punjab Youth Congress (PYC) president Brinder Dhillon in reference to the tractor-burning incident close to India Gate, officers stated.

The Congress’ youth wing activists on Monday morning set a tractor ablaze close to India Gate, just a few hundred metres from the Rashtrapati Bhavan and Parliament, to protest the contentious farm legal guidelines.

A senior police officer stated that Brinder Dhillon has been detained within the case. Six of the PYC activists have been arrested on Monday and police had additionally seized two autos within the matter.

Police had stated that round 20  individuals carried a tractor on a truck to Rajpath, Man Singh Crossing, unloaded it from the truck and set it on fireplace.

In accordance with police sources, the Punjab Youth Congress activists entered Lutyens’ Delhi together with a Punjab Police automobile.
