New Delhi:

Constitution flights coming from the UAE that wouldn’t have approval from the state authorities involved in India should not be allowed to land right here, aviation regulator DGCA advised the Airports Authority of India (AAI) on Wednesday.

“It has been observed that a number of the constitution flights from UAE to India didn’t have requisite Indian state consent required for the operation of such flights,” the Directorate Basic of Civil Aviation (DGCA) mentioned in a letter to the AAI.

“In view of the above, it has been determined that the airline shall submit the approval of the involved state authorities to the ATC (air site visitors management) of the purpose of vacation spot previous to their departure from airports in UAE,” it added.

The AAI manages many of the airports and their ATCs within the nation.

“ATC shall not permit the arrival except the above approval is supplied to them,” the DGCA mentioned.

India resumed home passenger flights from Could 25 after they had been grounded for 2 months as a result of coronavirus pandemic.

Scheduled worldwide passenger flights proceed to stay suspended in India since March 23. Nevertheless, worldwide constitution flights accredited by the DGCA are allowed to function.
