An aged lady was carried on a makeshift stretcher by some teenagers on their shoulders to the medical centre in Uttarakhand’s Pithoragarh on Monday.
The girl recognized as Sati Devi Bokti (70), was unable to stroll because of swelling in her leg.
Chanchal Singh Chiral, Village Pradhan, Chauna stated, “We carried an aged lady on a makeshift stretcher to hospital in Munsiyari space of Pithoragarh. Because the street connecting the village to the hospital has been blocked because of landslide and rain we needed to carry her on our shoulders.”
In one other occasion earlier on July 21, villagers carried a affected person on a makeshift stretcher made from wood logs in Munsiyari space of Pithoragarh to succeed in the hospital.
