An encounter broke out between safety forces and terrorists in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, police mentioned.

Safety forces launched a cordon and search operation at Yedipora in Pattan space of Baramulla district in north Kashmir following particular details about the presence of terrorists, a police officer mentioned.

He mentioned the search operation became an encounter after the terrorists fired upon a search celebration of the forces, who retaliated.

The change of firing is happening, the officer mentioned, including extra forces have been rushed to the realm and additional particulars have been awaited.
