West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi at present, urging him to re-examine the College Grants Fee (UGC) directive that mandated last examinations in faculties and universities by September-end.

In her letter, the chief minister stated the July 6 pointers of the UGC will adversely have an effect on the pursuits of scholars.

“I perceive that numerous states have already raised the problem with the federal government of India, expressing their issues and disagreement with the brand new pointers,” Ms Banerjee stated in her letter.

“I’d, due to this fact, request you to get the matter re-examined instantly…,” she stated.
