Basra, Iraq:

An explosion close to the Jraischan border crossing between Iraq and Kuwaiti on Monday night focused a convoy carrying tools for US forces, three Iraqi safety forces instructed Reuters.

It was not instantly clear if there have been any US troops within the convoy or if anybody had been injured within the explosion, which went off simply earlier than 9 pm Baghdad time (1800 GMT).

The Iraqi navy denied the incident came about.

Slightly recognized Iraqi Shi’ite militia group by the title of Ashab al-Kahf claimed accountability for the assault and revealed a video displaying an explosion at a distance. It mentioned it was capable of destroy US navy tools and huge elements of the crossing.
