In a suspected case of honour killing in Bihar’s Aurangabad district, a 19-year-old lady and his 22-year-old boyfriend have been stabbed to demise allegedly by her relations and an try was made to cremate the 2 our bodies, a senior police officer mentioned on Sunday.

Two individuals have been arrested on this connection, and not less than three others detained for questioning, Aurangabad Superintendent of Police (SP) Pankaj Kumar mentioned.

The victims, residents of Kapasia village in Mufassil police station space of the district, have been in a relationship for the previous two years, he mentioned.

“The lady was at her boyfriend’s residence on Saturday morning when her relations reached there and requested her to go away instantly. As she refused, her brother allegedly stabbed the 2 of them to demise.

“The 22-year-old was most likely alone at residence in the course of the time of the incident. Prima facie, it appears to be a case of honour killing,” the SP mentioned.

Her relations then reportedly took the 2 our bodies to a close-by river ghat, and set them alight on a pyre. Upon suspicion, a number of locals knowledgeable the police, he mentioned.
