Tikamgarh, Madhya Pradesh:

A 57-year-old man and his son had been allegedly overwhelmed to demise with sticks by their neighbours in Tikamgarh district of Madhya Pradesh following an argument over washing of sand, the police stated on Sunday.

The incident occurred in village, about 25 kms from the district headquarters, late on Saturday evening, the police stated.

A case has been registered towards 17 individuals in reference to the offence, sub-inspector Brajesh Kumar stated.

“The victims’ neighbours, Mohan Lodhi and Vrindavan Lodhi, had been washing sand in entrance of their home late on Saturday evening. Nonetheless, their neighbour, Deshraj (57), objected to it saying that the water has entered his home,” he stated.

“The argument later escalated. Mohan and Vrindavan, together with their members of the family, attacked Deshraj with sticks. When Deshraj’s sons Gulab (35) and Jahar tried to save lots of their father, the accused attacked them as properly,” the official added.

Whereas Gulab died on the spot, Deshraj died on account of his accidents whereas present process therapy at a hospital, he stated.

In accordance with Mr Kumar, Deshraj’s spouse Sonabai and different son Jahar additionally suffered severe accidents within the incident and had been being handled at a hospital.

“Police have registered a case of homicide towards 17 lacking accused,” he stated.

The police added that the accused had been concerned in unlawful transportation of sand.
