Former Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi right now joined the BJP-led Nationwide Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Bihar, months earlier than elections. His former rival Nitish Kumar reportedly performed a key position in bringing him again to his facet.

Mr Manjhi’s Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) was a key ally of Lalu Yadav and had contested the 2019 nationwide election as a part of the opposition alliance.
