The Gautam Buddh Nagar police on Sunday hooked up movable properties value Rs 30 lakh of a gangster belonging to the Sundar Bhati gang, as crackdown continued on the regional mafia, officers mentioned.
The clampdown on the mafia within the district in western UP began on July four consistent with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s directives which got here shut on the heels of killing of eight policemen in Kanpur by henchmen of history-sheeter Vikas Dubey, they mentioned.
“Two vehicles belonging to gangster Praveen Bhati had been hooked up on Sunday. The vehicles are pegged at Rs 30 lakh,” Extra Deputy Commissioner of Police, Better Noida, Vishal Pandey mentioned.
The crackdown is being carried out mainly below Part 14 (1) of the Gangsters Act, which permits attachment of unlawful properties, as a way to successfully curb gangsters, mafias and criminals and their associates, ADCP Pandey mentioned.
To date, properties, together with land and autos, value over Rs 16 crore belonging to dreaded gangsters of the Sundar Bhati and Anil Dujana gangs, and others, have been hooked up within the newest clampdown, officers mentioned.
The district police mentioned it might proceed motion towards the gangsters.
