Amid the outpouring of tributes on the primary demise anniversary of senior BJP chief Arun Jaitley, Union Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri shared throwback footage of his “outdated buddy” and get together colleague, whose demise was “tough to come back to phrases with”.
Tweeting a picture of a bunch of faculty college students from the 80s, Mr Puri reminisced about his decades-old affiliation with the previous finance minister.
“I first met Arun once we have been each college students at DU, he at SRCC and I used to be in Hindu Faculty. We have been each energetic in scholar politics and on the debating circuit. It was clear to anybody who got here in touch with him then that he stood out and was destined to go locations,” he wrote.

The diplomat-turned-politician additionally tweeted a throwback household image of the Jaitleys from 1999, including how Mr Jaitley’s demise had left a “void… felt by his household and mates”.
Mr Puri, whose camaraderie with Mr Jaitley was well-known, had tweeted the identical image months after Mr Jaitley’s demise final 12 months, remembering “happier instances”.

“My buddy Arun Jaitley, his spouse Dolly & children Rohan & Sonali in happier instances at Solar Home, Hampstead through the seventh Cricket World Cup in the summertime of 1999,” he had written in November final 12 months.
Many senior leaders from the ruling BJP, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, remembered Arun Jaitley this morning.
“I miss my buddy quite a bit,” the Prime Minister tweeted and shared an outdated video, recalling Mr Jaitley’s contributions as a political chief.
Mr Jaitley died at Delhi’s All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) after he was hospitalised over complaints of breathlessness.
