A freak sandstorm hit Ankara on Saturday, the Turkish capital’s mayor mentioned, as officers mentioned six folks have been injured after sturdy winds.
A spectacular video shared by the mayor’s workplace confirmed a big beige mud cloud enveloping buildings.

One other video posted on social media by the Turkish Common Directorate of Meteorology confirmed huge mud clouds hanging above houses within the capital, and lightning.
The directorate tweeted that the sandstorm and rains would proceed till 1600 GMT within the capital, which since late final month has been going by means of a dry interval and heatwave.
It later issued a warning of sturdy winds and sandstorms for the neighbouring of province, Kirikkale, in central Turkey.
“Six residents have been frivolously wounded by objects within the air after sturdy winds in Polatli and surrounding districts in keeping with preliminary info,” Ankara governor Vasip Sahin mentioned on Twitter.
