A day after a Congress chief referred to as him “nange bhooke ghar ka” (from a poverty stricken family) throughout a bypoll marketing campaign rally, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan hit again on Monday claiming hailing from a poor background allowed him to grasp the ache of the disadvantaged and downtrodden.
Addressing a rally on Sunday in Rajpur in Ashoknagar, Congress farmers’ cell chief Dinesh Gurjar highlighted Mr Chouhan’s humble origins and that of “large industrialist” former chief minister Kamal Nath.
“Kamal Nath desh ke doosre quantity ke udyogpati hai. Shivraj ki tarah nange bhooke ghar ke nahi (Kamal Nath is an enormous industrialist. He’s not like Shivraj (Singh Chouhan) who’s from a poverty-stricken family),” Gurjar mentioned within the presence of the senior Congress chief who was state CM until March. Responding on Twitter, Mr Chouhan mentioned. “I’m from a nange bhooke ghar ka, and that is why I perceive their ache.
I’m poor and, subsequently, guarantee poor youngsters go to highschool by changing into their mama (because the CM is affectionately referred to as by supporters). I’m poor, subsequently, I carry out kanyadaan (giving freely the bride) of daughters of poor households.”
Addressing a rally in Guna, Mr Chouhan lashed out on the Congress over the “nange bhooke” comment and took a swipe at Mr Nath by stating “I perceive the ache of the poor however an industrialist will not”.
The BJP and the Congress are in a bitter tussle for 28 MP Meeting seats the place bypolls are scheduled for November three.
