The assembly was co-chaired by BN Reddy, Joint Secretary in Ministry of Petroleum and Pure Fuel and Prem Kumar Shrestha, Joint Secretary within the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Provides, Authorities of Nepal, the assertion acknowledged.

Representatives from the Embassy of India in Kathmandu, Indian Public Sector Oil and Fuel firms equivalent to IOCL, GAIL and HPCL, Ministries of Finance and Overseas Affairs of Nepal and Nepal Oil Company (NOC) participated within the JWG assembly.

“The assembly expressed satisfaction on functioning of the Motihari-Amlekhgunj Petroleum Merchandise Pipeline, which was collectively inaugurated and operationalised by Prime Ministers of each nations in September 2019,” the discharge acknowledged.

The pipeline, first of its form in South Asian area, has been supplying the vast majority of the gas requirement of Nepal to Amlekhgunj Depot of NOC.
