The federal government is within the ultimate stage of approving the acquisition of two Phalcon airborne warning and management methods (AWACS) for the Indian Air Power from Israel at a value of round USD 1 billion, official sources stated.
The contemporary negotiations with Israeli authorities involved for procurement of the 2 Phalcon AWACS come within the midst of India’s bitter standoff with China in high-altitude japanese Ladakh.
The Indian Air Power (IAF) already has three Phalcon AWACS and addition of two extra is predicted to considerably enhance the nation’s air defence mechanism.
