Delhi BJP chief Kapil Mishra lodged a police grievance on Thursday over an alleged “hate marketing campaign” being run in opposition to him.
Mr Mishra’s identify has been doing the rounds in reference to the northeast Delhi riots in February. His detractors accused him of giving “instigating speech” earlier than the communal violence.
“I lodged a grievance with Delhi Police immediately in opposition to these operating hate marketing campaign in opposition to me, operating false information in media, defending actual rioters and terrorists, and posing menace to me and my household’s security,” Mr Mishra tweeted in Hindi.
The police confirmed that Mr Mishra had lodged a grievance with them, however didn’t disclose its nature.
“Kapil Mishra has given a grievance to Delhi Police Particular Cell on Thursday. Police are inquiring into it,” Anil Mittal, further PRO of Delhi Police, mentioned.
