The prime accused within the Kerala gold smuggling case, Swapna Suresh has been admitted to a medical faculty hospital right here after she complained of uneasiness and chest ache.
Suresh, who’s presently lodged on the Viyur jail close to right here swas shifted to the Thrissur Medical School hospital on Monday night, jail authorities stated.
“She complained of uneasiness.. after consulting with the jail medical doctors, we shifted her to the medical faculty hospital in Thrissur.
Adequatepolice safety has been offered to her,” a senior jail official informed PTI on Tuesday.
Swapna, who’s a former worker of the UAE consulate within the state capital, is among the many 4 accused booked by the Nationwide Investigation Company (NIA) within the smuggling of 30 kg of gold by way of diplomatic baggage which arrived on the Thiruvanathapuram Worldwide airport on July 5.
The gold valued at round Rs 15 crore was seized by the Customs (Preventive) Commissionerate, Kochi.
