A Kolkata Police personnel was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly harassing a transgender activist and roughing up her automobile driver.
The activist, who’s a member of the West Bengal Transgender Welfare Board, in her criticism with Bowbazar police station, stated that the accused misbehaved along with her and two of her buddies on Monday evening.
Narrating the incident on Fb, the complainant additional stated that the officer, connected with a visitors guard within the metropolis, intercepted their car in central Kolkata round eight.30 pm and touched her in an inebriated state.
As others within the automobile protested, the accused, who was in civil costume, allegedly twisted the motive force’s arm and left the place on his bike.
