Police on Tuesday night time arrested the CEO and two administrators moreover eight different officers of LG Polymers in reference to the styrene vapour leak incident wherein 12 folks had been killed and 585 fell sick
on Could 7, Visakhapatnam police chief RK Meena instructed PTI.

The arrests had been made a day after the Excessive-Energy Committee, appointed by the state authorities to probe the vapour leak, submitted its report back to Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

The report blamed a number of inadequacies on a part of LG and slackness of administration over poor security protocols and complete breakdown of the emergency response procedures within the plant that resulted within the tragedy.

The police registered a case on Could 7 towards LG Polymers at R R Venkatapuram, below varied IPC Sections together with 278 (making environment noxious to well being).
