Rewa, Madhya Pradesh:
A 16-year-old lady was raped and stabbed in her genital allegedly by a 22-year-old man in Rewa in Madhya Pradesh and her situation is crucial, police stated on Monday.
The prime accused – Ankit Rawat – has been arrested whereas his confederate Vanshpati Rawat, 27, is on the run, stated Superintendent of Police Rakesh Singh.
“The 2 males kidnapped the lady on Thursday when she was coming back from a celebration. Ankit raped her and stabbed her in her non-public half. She has been admitted to a hospital and her situation is crucial,” the Superintendent of Police stated.
The 2 accused have been charged with rape and different offences below the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and below the Safety of Kids from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, he added.
